About Me
I started in the drinks industry at 16 as a glass collector. I worked my way up to managing some of Londons leading venues, travelled through Australia and New Zealand, then moved into the commercial side. From Gordons and AB InBev to Edrington and Beam Suntory, managing London on-trade sales teams and helping launch Clean Co alongside Spencer Matthews. After years of selling other peoples vision, I wanted to build something of my own, a gin with real character, original art on every bottle, and a reason to keep it long after its empty. Everything I learned along the way led to one thing, Crooked Stance.
Why Crooked Stance
Most gins are made to be drunk and forgotten. I wanted to make something worth keeping. Every Crooked Stance release features original artwork on the bottle, a limited edition collectible as much as a craft spirit. The bottle is designed to be refilled, reducing waste and giving every purchase a life beyond the bar. Display it, refill it, pass it on. Each bottle has a character of its own, and so does the gin inside it.
Bold and citrus forward, with blood orange and grapefruit peel lifting the classic juniper base. Green cardamom and grains of paradise add a gentle warmth and spice, while sage brings an unexpected herbal edge. Complex but effortlessly drinkable.
The Name
It came whilst cooking the Sunday roast. Our cat Tiger was sitting there staring at me, waiting for her food. Shes always sat in her own way, a little different, a little crooked, and she just doesnt care. In that moment it was obvious. Crooked Stance.
SUSTAINABILITY HEADLINE
We’re not going to pretend we’ve solved everything. But we made a decision from day one, every Crooked Stance bottle should be worth keeping.
Not just because the art deserves a place on your shelf, but because throwing away a beautiful bottle felt wrong to us. So we created a refill pouch. Same gin, less glass, less waste. It’s a small step, but it’s our step.
We will always look to reduce our packaging and waste, it’s an ongoing commitment, not an afterthought.
Save the bottle. Refill. Repeat. Art lives on.
CHARITY HEADLINE
We are proud to partner with Woodgreen Pets Charity, one of the UK’s leading animal welfare organisations, helping to rescue and rehome animals in need.
We are creating limited edition Woodgreen bottles, released throughout the year, with every single penny from those sales going directly to Woodgreen.
All for the animals.
Tiger gave us our name. As in, our actual cat Tiger. This one is for her furry brothers and sisters.
