The Crooked Clap
Every great gin deserves a great serve. This one has a cushion clap.
When we were thinking about how Crooked Stance should be served, we did not want something generic. Slice of lemon, sprig of rosemary, the usual. We wanted something that felt as considered and individual as the bottle itself.
Sage was always part of the botanical mix. Warm, earthy and distinctive, it is one of the flavours that gives Crooked Stance its character. But we wanted to do something with it that went beyond just dropping it in a glass.
So we cushion clap it.
Take a fresh sage leaf, hold it between both palms and give it one firm clap. That single moment releases the oils and the aroma in a way that transforms the serve entirely. It wakes the sage up. And it gives the whole ritual a moment that is completely its own.
Go on. Give it a cushion clap. You will see.
The full serve is simple. Crooked Stance gin over ice, a good quality tonic and a cushion clapped sage leaf. That is it. Nothing complicated, nothing fussy. Just a gin that tastes exactly as good as it looks.
Now go and post your cushion clap. Tag us in. We want to see every one. #CrookedClap @crookedstancegin @crookedstance
