Meet the Artist: Marc Craig
Some collaborations take months of meetings, presentations and back and forth emails. This one started with a walk through a tunnel.
Before I approached Marc I did my homework. I visited Leake Street, London’s only legal graffiti space tucked beneath Waterloo Station, and I stalked him online. His latest work, his murals, his style. I wanted to know if his energy matched what I had in mind for Crooked Stance. It did. Completely.
When we finally met I told him my idea. A series of hand crafted decanters, each one completely different, each one a piece of art in its own right. I watched his brain start working. You could see it. That creative energy that Marc has, that instinctive, restless need to make something, it switched on almost immediately.
The brief I gave him was simple. Neon colours. Everything else was his.
That is how the OG Edition was born. Seven hand crafted decanters, each one carrying an original Marc Craig artwork. Expressive, symbolic and impossible to ignore. No two the same. Each one unmistakably Marc.
Six you can see on this page. One you will never see from us. That one exists only in person. No images, no previews, no social posts. Some things should stay that way.
Marc is not just an artist who puts paint on a surface. He excavates. He pulls ideas from somewhere deep and gives them space to exist in the world. Having his work on a Crooked Stance decanter feels exactly right. Bold, unfiltered and completely his own.
Just like every bottle we make.
